A leading consultancy firm is seeking a TLM Collateral Management Developer to enhance their collateral management processes in London. The role involves upgrading the TLM application, supporting business analysts, and configuring software environments, requiring strong SQL and collateral management knowledge.

The main focus of the role is to support the business and the projects business analysts to understand and resolve issues being faced by the collateral management team, new projects and initiatives, and an upgrade of the vendor solution as well as our in-house customizations. The key piece of software used by the global team is TLM Collateral Management, providing margining functionality for OTC derivatives, repo, and SBL products. The candidate will need to be able to translate the team's issues into technical solutions that can be developed in-house or with customizations to the TLM Collateral Management system provided by the vendor.
The project will require an update to the TLM Collateral Management solution, which will involve configuring all components within the application, including the core software modules, IIS web components, and databases. Complete regression/UAT testing will need to be completed involving all downstream systems and relevant business functions. The candidate would need strong collateral management "hands-on" technical support knowledge using the TLM Collateral Management system with an understanding of the margining requirements across derivatives, repo, and SBL products.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the Collateral Tech SME, providing analysis and determining requirements to resolve the issues raised to the team.
Support the business and business analysts to understand and document current issues and inefficiencies in the OTC derivative, repo, and MBS collateral management process.
Design technical solutions to resolve business issues that are within the capabilities of the TLM Collateral Management System.
Upgrade TLM Collateral Management to a later version.
Configure all individual software modules.
Upgrade the various databases.
Setup and configure IIS websites.
Own the execution of full UAT & regression testing of the system post-upgrade, including downstream feeds and outputs.
Configure and test changes required to the AcadiaSoft MarginSphere adapter.
Work closely with the vendor to identify and implement changes to improve the performance of the system.
Create and update in-house SQL extracts.
Optimize batch processing to decouple margin types and reduce business/SLA impact when failures occur.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience upgrading and supporting the TLM Collateral Management application for OTC derivatives, repo, and SBL margining.
Understanding of a bank's collateral management obligations, including variation margin and initial margin.
Product knowledge of OTC derivatives, repo, and SBL.
Experience configuring IIS websites and authentication.
Strong SQL knowledge, including the creation of stored procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with XML and MQ messaging.
Ability and experience of working under pressure - both autonomously and within a team.
Ability to liaise with business and IT stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Nice to Have:
Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline.
Application development experience on data platforms, leveraging structured query language (SQL), extract-transform-load (ETL) tools, and object-oriented languages (Java, Python, C#).
Programming/systems analysis experience with emphasis in applications and systems, architectural and database design and development.
Strong experience in writing complex queries; experience working with enterprise database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server, and with stored procedures.
Experience within a technology organization in the banking, financial services, or financial technology industries preferred.
Previous experience working in regulated industry and matrixed organization required.
