Join our team as a Tissue Viability and Lower Limb Nurse at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
This exciting opportunity is for 2 dedicated nurses to join our community-led Tissue Viability and Lymphoedema Services. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based care for patients with chronic wounds and lower limb oedema in community and inpatient settings. The role involves participating in service audits, quality improvement projects, education, and training, as well as supporting the development of junior staff.
The Tissue Viability Service (TVS) offers specialist advice on chronic wound management across various community and inpatient settings, including mental health wards. The Lymphoedema Service provides expert advice and nurse-led clinics for lymphoedema, chronic oedema, and lipoedema patients, visiting homebound patients and residential facilities.
The catchment area is diverse ethnically and socio-economically. The post requires working across multiple care settings in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and external services to enhance patient outcomes.
North Mid is part of the North Central London integrated care system, working closely with NHS and local authorities across Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. The organization values staff training and offers opportunities for medical, nursing, and midwifery students from various universities.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered General Nurse committed to delivering and developing specialist tissue viability and lymphoedema care. Competence in managing patients with chronic wounds and oedema in diverse settings is essential.
