The Timber Group Loader role in Herringswell focuses on safely loading timber and materials onto delivery vehicles, using side loaders and adhering to health and safety rules. You will be part of a driven team, helping the yard and deliveries run smoothly and efficiently, while maintaining a tidy loading area and communicating with drivers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Valid side loader licence and a good understanding of safe lifting and load securing.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Organised and capable of independent time management.
• Experience in a timber yard or similar manual handling role is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Safely load timber onto delivery vehicles, ensuring items are secure for transport.
• Use manual handling techniques and side loaders to perform tasks.
• Check loading notes to ensure correct items and quantities are dispatched.
• Keep the loading area clean, tidy and organised.
• Assist with general yard tasks such as moving stock and stacking timber.
