Job summary

The Timber Group, part of the Huws Gray Group, is recruiting for a Side Loader Driver to join a busy branch. You will report to the Yard Supervisor and Branch Management Team and contribute to excellent customer service while handling deliveries and stock with care.

You will operate a Side Loader for picking and loading company vehicles, help maintain a tidy yard, and safeguard goods. A Side Loader licence is required, and full training is provided to support career development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries at the branch and store securely.
• Serve customers promptly and efficiently at all times.
• Keep the yard tidy and stock clearly identifiable; highlight low stock to management.

As aSide Loader Driver, you would be working in one of our branches as part of a team where everyone is putting the effort in to offer brilliant customer service and to get the job done. You would report to the Yard Supervisor and the Branch Management Team.

Here’s what you can expect to do as a Side Loader Driver with The Timber Group:

Receive and check off deliveries to the branch, highlighting any anomalies and ensuring secure, correct and timely storage of such deliveries in line with health and safety guidelines

Ensuring that customers are served promptly and efficiently at all times.

Ensure that the yard is kept tidy at all times, that stock is clearly identifiable and low stock levels highlighted to branch management where necessary to make sure certain products are available at all times.

Using a Side Loader to assist with picking and loading of company vehicles.

Actively safeguard against theft of goods or company property by being security conscious at all times.

Work and communicate as a team member to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively within company policy.
