Job summary

Grosvenor TimberWorks is seeking a practical, reliable Sawmill Operative to join our team at Hatton Heath on the Eaton Estate. You will help operate the sawmill, process timber into a range of quality products, and maintain safe, efficient working practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on timber processing or manufacturing is desirable but training is provided.
• Able to follow safety procedures and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support the sawmill production line.
• Load and unload timber using handling equipment.
• Sort, grade and stack timber products.
• Load, operate and unload timber drying kilns.
• Support yard organisation and stock management.
• Prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Assist with biomass and firewood operations when required.
• Help maintain equipment and keep the site safe and tidy.
