Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is helping a well-established local manufacturer in Somerset recruit a TIG Welder / Fabricator. This permanent role is based in Wincanton and is commutable from nearby towns such as Yeovil, Castle Cary, Sherborne, Frome and Bruton.

You will carry out TIG welding and fabrication in a workshop setting, operate guillotine and CNC press brake, and perform finishing and quality checks.

Qualifications

• TIG welding experience required.
• Fabrication / sheet metal / workshop background.
• Hands-on, varied workshop position.

Wincanton, Somerset (Commutable from: Yeovil, Castle Cary, Sherborne, Frome, Warminster, Bruton, Gillingham, Shaftesbury)

Are you a TIG Welder or Fabricator looking for a stable, long-term position with consistent weekday hours and an early Friday finish, within an established local manufacturer that has plenty of work on?

This is a permanent role with a well-established business, where you'll be part of a close-knit workshop team and be properly looked after with on-the-job training on their machinery and processes.

Due to continued growth and bringing more manufacturing in-house, they are looking to add an additional TIG Welder / Fabricator to support ongoing demand.

The Role:

• Workshop-based TIG welding and fabrication / metalwork
• Operating guillotine, CNC press brake, notching and punching components
• Grinding, assembly and fitting, plus general production and quality checks
• Supporting packing, stores and stock movement as needed
• Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-4:30pm (early finish Friday), overtime available

This role would suit a Fabricator / Welder with TIG welding experience, looking for a secure permanent position, steady hours, a good team environment and optional overtime to boost earnings.
