Job summary

TechNichols Resourcing Ltd is currently recruiting a TIG Welder Fabricator to join a family-run business with a long-standing presence in precision engineering. The role involves TIG welding and fabrication on steel and aluminium, reading drawings, and working in a fast-paced environment.

You will be part of a friendly team in a large site, with flexible start/finish times and a 38-hour week Mon-Fri, with occasional overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Five+ years TIG welding experience required.
• Experience with both small and large fabrications.
• Physically fit and proactive on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• TIG welding and fabrication from drawings and assembly instructions.
• Assess equipment, structures, materials and job specs for welding positions and methods.
• Work with sheet metal - steel and aluminium.
• Cut materials using various methods.
• Handle varying orders, including large USA orders.
• Ensure all parts are properly fitted and aligned.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE.

Role: TIG Welder Fabricator

Salary: Competitive salary dependant on experience, potential overtime paid at £30.00 per hour plus additional benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week (Friday early finish)

Start & finish times flexible

Location: Commutable from Wokingham, Bracknell, Reading Finchampstead, Arborfield Green and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting for a TIG Welder Fabricator to work within a family run business at their large site. The company have been running for over 60 years and are well known within the precision engineering industry. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team working in this fast faced environment.

Responsibilities:

• TIG Welding and Fabrication
• Working from drawings and assembly instructions.
• Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
• Working with materials - sheet metal work - Steel and aluminium
• Cut materials using different methods
• Variation of orders, currently working on a large order for clients in the USA
• Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned etc.
• Follows safety protocol, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and appropriate extraction.

Requirements:

• Experienced in Fabrication and Welding, 5+ years of TIG (essential) and MIG welding (desirable)
• Experience in both small / large fabrications
• Physically fit and keen to get stuck in and get your hands dirty
