Job summary

MTrec Ltd is seeking a TIG Welder/Fabricator for a permanent role. The position involves 2-3 mm aluminium TIG welding, some MIG for mild steel, and extensive fabrication work to tight tolerances.

You will read engineering drawings and translate them into precise parts, assembling small to medium structures with excellent accuracy. Applicants should have Level 3 qualification, hold a full UK driving licence, and demonstrate reliable timekeeping, attendance, and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• TIG welding experience with aluminium, and some MIG as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams.
• Experience fabricating small to medium assemblies with care for accuracy.
• Level 3 qualification and full UK driving licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2-3 mm aluminium TIG welding and some mild steel MIG welding.
• Cut, bend and weld metal following drawings and diagrams.
• Fabricate small to medium assemblies with attention to detail.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure correct fabrication.

Our client are specialists in their market sector; they are looking to recruit a TIG Welder/Fabricator on a permanent basis.

The Job you'll do

• 2-3ml aluminium TIG welding, some mild steel for MIG, but mainly aluminium as it's so thin.
• Cutting and bending metal, welding it, following engineering drawings and diagrams.
• Excellent fabrication skills with experience in fabricating small and medium sized assembles, using all basic fabrication skills which include forming and bending.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
