Job summary

Abingdon-based precision fabrication role requiring strong TIG welding with exposure to high-specification components. You’ll join a large team of coded welders, working from engineering drawings in a highly regulated manufacturing setting with robotic and semi-automated systems.

Opportunities for specialist training and welding coding are available to develop your skills further. Early or late shifts provide flexibility depending on production demand.

Qualifications

• Strong TIG welding experience.
• Precision manufacturing experience.
• Experience working from engineering drawings.
• A good range of fabrication skills.
• Pressure vessel or other high-specification fabrication experience - highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ASME IX / BS EN ISO 9606-1 or similar - advantageous.
• MIG welding experience - also useful.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality TIG and MIG welding to Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Work within a precision manufacturing environment alongside advanced robotic and semi-automated systems.

Experienced TIG Welder? Fancy working on something a bit more interesting than repetitive production welding?

I'm recruiting for an established UK manufacturer producing complex vessel assemblies and precision fabricated components for highly regulated industries including Nuclear, Rail, Healthcare and Renewable Energy.

LOCATION: ABINGDON

HOURS:

Early

Monday to Thursday - 05:45 to 13:45

Friday - 05:55 to 13:00

OR

LATE

Monday to Thursday - 14:15 to 22:25

Friday 13:00 to 19:00

Specialist training & welding coding available

You'll be joining a large team of highly skilled coded welders in a precision manufacturing environment, working on complex, high-specification fabrications alongside advanced robotic and semi-automated manufacturing systems.

I'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Strong TIG welding experience
• Precision manufacturing experience
• Experience working from engineering drawings

A good range of fabrication skills

Pressure vessel or other high-specification fabrication experience - highly desirable

Knowledge of ASME IX / BS EN ISO 9606-1 or similar - advantageous

MIG welding experience - also useful
