TIG Welder

We are currently seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our client’s team in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality TIG welding on a variety of materials and components, ensuring that all work meets industry and company standards.

Key Responsibilities of this TIG Welder role:

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel, and/or aluminium components.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect welded joints to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Carry out pre-weld preparation and post-weld clean-up.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
  • Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Skills and Experience Required for this TIG Welder role:

  • Proven experience in TIG welding within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop setting.
  • Ideally, NVQ or City & Guilds in Welding or equivalent (preferred but not essential).

    Location: Stoke-on-Trent
    Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:15
  • Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
  • Hourly rate of pay - £13.50ph DOE
