Job summary

A renowned welding and fabrication company in Scotland is looking for an experienced welder to work on large steel structures in the shipbuilding industry. Candidates must be skilled in TIG welding and have experience in marine or offshore environments. A high degree of accuracy in following drawings and specifications is essential. The position offers competitive pay and potential for contract extension until late October 2025.

Overview

You will be working on the fabrication of large steel structures for the shipbuilding and ship repair industry.

Requirements

• Experience in marine/oil & gas/offshore environments

• Ability to work from drawings and specifications

• If already coded with private Lloyd's Register codings you will be able to have an immediate start, If not, an in-house weld test will be required before starting

Details

• Hours: Up to 50 per week

• Mon- Thurs 8 hours, Tues - Thurs: 12 hours Fri- 6 hours (Tues - Thurs extra hours, project dependant)

• 25/h PAYE Plus 3.02/h holiday pay (can be accrued or advanced) or 33.48/h Umbrella co

• Current contract until late October 2025, with strong chance of extension

• Must have own Airfed welding mask
