Qualifications

  • 5+ years TIG welding experience; MIG experience is a bonus.
  • Coded welder to EN287-1 / ASME IX / PED.
  • Ability to work from technical drawings.

Wellingborough
Hours - Mon to Thurs 0700-1615, Fri 0700-1200
Salary - £34,431 plus benefits

Are you a highly skilled TIG/MIG Welder with a passion for precision and quality? Looking to join a well-established engineering team in a forward-thinking, global manufacturing business? This could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Due to growth our established client based in Wellingborough is recruiting experienced Welders to join theirOperations team, where you’ll play a key role in producing high-precision components within a professional, safety-focused production environment.

The Role ... As a TIG & MIG Welder, you’ll join a team of expert welders on the late shift, responsible for assembling and welding a wide range of instrumentation using jigs, fixtures, and manipulators.

You will:


  • Weld stainless steel components to high specification (including exotic materials such as Duplex or Super Duplex)

  • Perform helium leakage testing, expanding, pressure testing, and basic assembly work

  • Maintain your equipment and workspace to a high standard

  • Work from technical drawings and support continuous improvement efforts across production

  • Assist with TPM and preventative maintenance

  • Work to tight tolerances with accuracy, consistency, and attention to safety

What We’re Looking For ...

Essential:


  • 5+ years TIG welding experience (MIG experience a bonus)

  • Coded welder to EN287-1 / ASME IX / PED

  • High standard of stainless steel welding

  • Confident using production tools and reading technical drawings

  • Good computer skills (MS Office)

  • Hands-on, adaptable, and reliable team player

Desirable:


  • Recognised Engineering qualification (e.g. BTEC, City & Guilds)

  • Experience welding exotic materials (e.g. Duplex)

  • Experience using lathes, turntables, or automated equipment

  • Nuclear coding (RCCM
