Job summary

Major Recruitment is partnering with a prominent international automotive business with a large factory in Baildon/Shipley. We are seeking Welder applicants to join the factory team on a long-term basis, with MIG/TIG or CMT welding skills.

You will work in a dynamic environment, operate heavy machinery, follow plans, prioritise safety, and enjoy benefits including onsite parking, canteen, social events and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with TIG or CMT welding as part of fabrication
• Ability to perform manual handling and lift heavy items
• Strong work ethic with reliable attendance
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Major Recruitment is excited to partner with a prominent international automotive business with a large Factory in Baildon/Shipley. This industry leader specializes in manufacturing Engine Cooling Systems for Off-Highway Vehicles.

Due to an increase in work load the business is looking for MIG/TIG or CMT Welders to join the factory team on an long term ongoing basis. Commutable from Bradford and West Leeds.

As a Welder, your responsibilities will be:

• Work in a dynamic factory environment.
• Operate advanced machinery and heavy-duty industrial equipment.
• Showcase your exceptional skills in TIG or CMT Welding
• Demonstrate your expertise in manual handling
• Prioritize safety and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Following plans & manufacturing processes
• Handle potentially heavy items and a variety of tools.

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience of TIG or CMT Welding
• Proficiency in manual handling, with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
• Strong work ethic, ensuring punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Effective timekeeping
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Working hours:

• Weekly alternating OR Nights
• Week 1:
• Monday-Thursday:6am-2pm, Friday:6am-11:00am
• Week 2.:
• Monday-Thursday:2pm-10pm, Friday: 11:00am-4:00pm
• Nights:
• Monday-Thursday: 10pm-6am, Friday: 16:00pm-21:00pm

Pay:

£16.16 – £17.24 per hour
