Join The Tersus Team as a Fire Risk Assessor with Tier 2 experience

Salary: Up to £48,500 with car allowance. Ideally you will be base in London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent or Surrey.

Location: The ideal person will be located in the Home Counties, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey areas, but we are also open to nearby locations if you are willing to travel.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Conduct fire safety risk assessments in line with the latest regulations
  • Produce clear and actionable reports that guide clients towards compliance
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, explaining findings and recommendations with clarity and confidence
  • Stay ahead of changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices, ensuring our advice is always the best available
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance our services and share knowledge

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree or qualification in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety
  • Registered with the IFSM, Tier 2 or similar competency scheme
  • At least 2 years experience within the fire industry
  • Experience with compartmentation and/or door inspections desirable but not essential as training will be given
  • Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments
  • Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and legislation
  • Exceptional communication skills — the ability to engage and inform clients with ease
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset that helps you identify potential hazards swiftly
  • A valid driving license, as this role involves visiting various sites
  • Enthusiasm for continual learning and professional growth
