Job summary

Active Assistance in Stockport is seeking a female-only Children’s Support Worker to cover Thursday evenings (3pm-9pm) for a 15-year-old with complex health needs. The role is part-time, on-site in the family home, with flexibility to cover sickness/leave and regular weekly shifts.

You will join a dedicated care team, receive specialist training and annual holiday pay, and be supported by a Care Manager. A genuine occupational requirement applies.

Qualifications

• Female candidates only due to genuine occupational requirement.
• Experience in care for young people with complex health needs preferred.
• Comfort with non-verbal communication (makaton) and using a communication book.

Responsibilities

• Support a 15-year-old girl with complex needs in her family home.
• Assist with daily living tasks and monitoring, including medicines and feeding under supervision.
• Follow care plans and rotas coordinated by the Care Manager.
