Job summary

Grace Darling CofE Primary School in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is seeking a Thrive Practitioner to support emotional wellbeing, resilience and learning. You will deliver Thrive interventions, help children recognise and express emotions, build positive relationships, and work with families.

The role is a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days. Join a caring school community and contribute to a safe, supportive environment where every child feels listened

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and small-group Thrive interventions and programmes.
  • Support children to develop emotional literacy, including recognising and expressing emotions and managing stress, anger, grief and conflict.
  • Help children develop positive relationships, social interaction and friendship skills.
  • Provide targeted Thrive support during playtimes and lunchtimes.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, helping them to support their child's learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
