Job summary

Sophos, a global cybersecurity leader, seeks a Threat Analyst for the Managed Threat Response team in Canada. You will monitor, detect and respond to threats, working with threat hunters, incident responders, engineers, and ethical hackers. The role demands log analysis, proactive threat hunting, and collaboration with multiple security teams.

Shift: 8AM - 5PM EST. Base salary ranges from CAD 74,000 to CAD 123,000 plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a SOC or security operations role.
• Experience with threat hunting and with endpoint and network security monitoring.
• Experience administering Windows OS (workstations/servers) and macOS/Linux.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze logs and security events via Sophos tooling.
• Identify and respond to cyber threats within customer environments.
• Document findings for technical and executive audiences.
• Drive continuous improvement with detailed risk-reduction recommendations.
• Collaborate with core security and threat response teams.
• Research emerging IOCs/attacks and operationalise findings.
