Sophos, a global cybersecurity leader, is seeking a Threat Analyst for its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team in Canada. You will monitor, detect, and respond to threats, working with threat hunters, incident responders, and engineers to neutralize cyber threats.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a SOC or computer security role
• Experience with threat hunting and endpoint/network monitoring
• Proficient in Windows OS and at least one of Apple/Linux
• Knowledge of adversary tactics, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and incident response
• Ability to analyze logs/events and communicate findings clearly
• Willingness to work 24x7 shifts
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Customer-service oriented with good communication

Responsabilités

• Investigate and analyze logs and security events using Sophos tooling
• Identify and respond to threats within customer environments
• Document findings for technical and executive audiences
• Drive issue resolution and provide de-risk recommendations
• Engage with customers across various mediums to satisfy requests
• Collaborate with core security and threat response teams
• Research emerging indicators of compromise and operationalize findings
