Third Party Business Development Manager - FTC

We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) responsible for driving the growth of our last mile business and recruiting candidates for the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) programme, a network of independent small business owners facilitating last mile deliveries for Amazon. The BDM manages a regional acquisition pipeline in Germany, from lead outreach to vetting, qualification, and ongoing engagement. Our high-touch acquisition process requires the candidate to serve as a trusted advisor, evaluating fit for both Amazon and DSP candidates. BDMs develop and nurture external relationships within regional business and entrepreneur communities from which DSP talent is sourced.

This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Develop regional recruitment strategies to identify high-performing DSP prospects aligning with market growth plans.
  2. Identify candidates supporting the growth of Amazon Logistics in Germany.
  3. Build relationships with industry partners, corporate entities, and professional associations to promote the DSP programme.
  4. Analyze KPIs to refine the characteristics of high-quality DSP candidates.
  5. Use data to create regional profiles and candidate criteria, adapting recruiting tactics accordingly.
  6. Support DSP owners during onboarding and pre-launch preparations.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality DSP onboarding and leverage insights for refinement.
  8. Work with marketing and content teams to enhance lead acquisition strategies.
About the team

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) manages 'last mile' delivery through third-party distribution partners, focusing on operational excellence and customer experience. We support various delivery concepts, including Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and technology.

Minimum qualifications
  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in business development, public relations, recruiting, or vendor management
  • Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders, including leadership
  • Proficiency in written and verbal German and English
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience as an entrepreneur or working with small business owners, especially in startups
  • Experience in talent engagement and cultivation from diverse backgrounds
