Job Title: Thermoforming Shift Manager
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per year (negotiable for relevant experience)
Location: Haydock, St Helens
(Continental shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)

Your Role:

You'll lead a team of operators on shift and be responsible for the smooth running of the thermoforming department. This includes:

• Leading daily handovers and team briefings
• Maximising output while minimising downtime
• Supporting operators and developing their capability
• Monitoring production, quality, and waste KPIs
• Troubleshooting process issues in real time
• Ensuring product quality through visual and sample checks
• Communicating clearly with senior management, suppliers, and the wider team

What You'll Need:

Essential:

• Background in thermoforming, plastics, packaging, or a similar process-led manufacturing environment
• Experience leading a team in a production setting
• Strong communication skills - able to talk with operators and senior leaders alike

Desirable:

• Thermoforming experience
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting
