Job summary

Faerch Group is seeking a Thermoforming Setter to operate and maintain thermoforming production lines (Illig/Kiefel) and ensure highquality output. You will work hands‑on in a dynamic manufacturing environment, reporting to the Thermoforming Shift Leader.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and safety awareness, with a Panama schedule: 12‑hour shifts covering days, nights and weekends, averaging 42 hours per week. Starting salary is £35,000 plus shift allowance, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Team player with good communication and attention to detail.
• Technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Starting up, running, and shutting down thermoforming machines.
• Performing full tool changes, insert changes, and paperwork changes within standard times.
• Operating and maintaining inline systems, including extruders, padding machines, punch units, and glue systems.
• Ensuring product quality meets customer specifications and addressing defects.
• Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns or stoppages, escalating issues when required.
• Recording accurate production and quality data on our ERP system (M3).
• Cleaning and conducting routine maintenance on machinery.
• Supporting team members and shift leaders to meet production and efficiency targets.
• Support other departments and assist with packing duties when required.
