Band 3 Part Time Therapy Technician in Older Peoples Therapy (OPT) within Adult Therapy Services (30hrs)



Are you passionate about working with the older population? Are you looking for the next step in your career? Or maybe you’re looking for an opportunity to make a difference in a large teaching trust as part of a friendly team?

Join the Older Persons Therapy Team based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary as a Band 3 Therapy Technician, where you will work as part of an integrated therapy team to deliver an effective and co-ordinated specialist service across the frailty and Older persons pathways. Older people present to hospital with a variety of conditions so you will gain experience in numerous areas including patients with complex frailty, dementia, cognitive impairments and those who have fallen over.

Our team is made up of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Apprentice Occupational Therapists and Therapy Technicians, who pride themselves with the support we provide each other and the care we provide to our patients.


We are looking for someone who is keen gain experience in working with Older adults within a friendly, forward thinking and supportive Adult Therapy Service. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience of working as part of a team, and great time management skills. Understanding the roles of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy in an acute Older Person’s care setting should be demonstrated in your application form and experience of working in a healthcare setting is essential.



The post holder will be required to work a 7 day working pattern of 1 in 4 weekends and contribute to the bank holiday working service throughout the year.
