Job description

Do you have a passion for helping children with physical disabilities and complex needs? If yes, we are looking for someone to join our Physiotherapy team.

Position: Therapy Support Worker

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and dedicated Therapy Support Worker with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to plan, prioritize, and delegate according to patient and service needs. You will play a key role within the Nottinghamshire Therapy Team, supporting Physiotherapists and working within a multidisciplinary team to undertake routine assessments and interventions aligned with goal setting.

Your responsibilities include liaising closely with therapists, support workers, and health and social care professionals, as well as acting as a liaison with patients, families, and carers, requiring excellent communication skills.

You will assist and support therapists in delivering agreed intervention programs at various locations to meet the needs of children with short and long-term disabilities or needs. The role involves working alongside therapists and independently executing approved care programs.

An administrative component involves organizing equipment, managing diaries, and creating therapy programs.

Applicants should have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Care, Teaching Assistant Level 3, or equivalent, with experience working with children and young people. A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use are required; however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
