Job summary

The Orbital in Swindon is seeking a Therapy Support Worker to join our integrated neighbourhood teams. You will deliver care in the community under supervision, supporting rehabilitation and daily activities with a patient-centred approach.

This flexible role offers either full-time or part-time hours, a Band 3 salary and pension. Driving is required for site visits; training and development are provided to help you grow within HCRG Care Group.

Qualifications

• Care Certificate required or willingness to achieve.
• Experience of working under supervision.
• Experience of supporting other workers.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Delivering patient-focused care.
• Typing/data inputting skills.
• Physical skills to manually handle patients and use lifting aids.
• Experience in providing care / delivering rehab or exercise.
• Current full driving licence and use of a car during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment/care within a community setting under the guidance of a registered practitioner.
• Keep patient at the centre of care; involve patient and carer participation in decisions.
• Support day-to-day care of patients and monitor progress.
• Communicate with patients about routine activities, addressing difficulties.
• Work within a multi-professional team and report progress to colleagues and families.
• Assist registered and unregistered staff; refer to registered staff when necessary.

Therapy Support Worker - The Orbital, Swindon, SN25 4AN We are excited to be recruiting a number of Therapy Support Worker to join our team at The Orbital in Swindon. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time roles, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. In this varied and rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to work within our integrated neighbourhood teams, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. Comprehensive and appropriate training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported in your role.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment/care within a community setting as specified in a written care plan, under the guidance of a registered practitioner.
• To keep the patient at the centre of their care, ensuring patient and carer participation in decision making.
• Responsibility for, and supporting, the day-to-day care of patients, including monitoring.
• To communicate with individuals about routine and daily activities, this may include overcoming difficulties (e.g. hearing/language).
• To work within a multi-professional team and to feed back service user progress, liaising with colleagues, families, carers and other agencies.
• To assist registered and unregistered staff, referring to registered staff when necessary.
