Job description
Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with previous health or social care experience to support occupational therapy and physiotherapy within the stroke specialty. This involves working with hyper acute and acute inpatients at Southmead Hospital.

Main Duties

This integrated role is to assist patients with difficulties such as reduced balance, reduced range of movement, reduced mobility and muscle strength, cognitive impairment and reduced confidence improve their ability to manage activities of daily living. A range of therapy interventions are delivered, under the supervision of registered occupational therapists or physiotherapists to facilitate recovery and promote independence. This includes supporting individuals to use the toilet, wash and dress or carry out other domestic tasks.

You may also be required to support groups and facilitate other meaningful activities.
