Job description

As our Structural Heart business grows, we will be recruiting for additional clinically-focused Therapy Specialists (TS) for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) at an exciting time in the Company’s evolution.

This position will be primarily responsible for providing clinical case coverage of our TAVI technology. In providing clinical coverage, you will train interventional cardiologists, cath lab staff, and ancillary personnel on the use of Abbott TAVI products, and provide technical support to physicians during procedures. The TS will also be responsible for data dissemination in his sites and among the referral chain of influence.

The TS will be responsible for managing and obtaining results from a variety of outside constituencies that they do not directly supervise in a traditional sense. As such, they will need to be extremely versatile and sensitive as to how best achieve the company's objectives within the unique environment of each site, and to make decisions and implement solutions accordingly. During procedures, TS will guide HCPs through a series of technical decisions regarding catheter positioning under imaging guidance and deploying the valve.

What you'll need:
  • BS/BA in life sciences or marketing ideal, but experience considered
  • Medical Clinical Support, Medical training (RN, EMT, Perfusion, etc.) background strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical orientation: training clinicians and providing technical assistance during procedures, including troubleshooting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be versatile, fantastic communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills: able to identify and resolve issues and to adapt best practices across institutions
  • Willingness to travel extensively
