A regional healthcare provider is seeking a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to work in the in-patient unit at North Walsham hospital. The role requires good communication and clinical reasoning skills. You will support therapists in improving patient mobility and daily living activities. To assist you with this you will receive support and development through in service training, regular appraisals, a personal development plan and clinical supervision.
You must be self-motivated, able to demonstrate sound clinical reasoning skills and have good communication skills. Applicants should have a positive enthusiastic approach to working in an in-patient setting.

You will be part of the Therapy team on the ward and will support registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Band 4 Assistant Practitioners.
Your main duties will be to review patient mobility, transfers, personal activities of daily living and exercise programmes, as appropriate. You will report patient progressions to the team.
NCHC have electronic patient records and there is an expectation that you will use a computer to enable you to work with your patients and record their care during the clinical consultation where appropriate. You will receive support and training to enable you to use this functionality.
