Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant Practitioner (Band 4) to join the Front Door Therapy Services at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. The role supports assessment, recovery, and discharge across acute Emergency Care areas including the Frailty Assessment Unit.

The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and assist therapists in delivering high-quality care, with opportunities for professional development and on-site supervision.

Qualifications

• Band 4 role in NHS England.
• Assist in initial assessments and contribute to treatment plans.
• Collaborate with Therapists, Discharge Managers and MDT.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment, recovery and discharge of patients in Emergency Care.
• Carry out initial patient needs assessments and progress treatment plans for safe discharge.
• Work with the therapy team to support care delivery and outcomes.
• Participate in service development and training opportunities.
