Job description

We are looking for a Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Inpatient Therapy service. You will be working with experienced Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists on the acute wards helping patients during their acute inpatient journey, promoting recovery, independence and supporting timely discharges.


This role has been designed with the specific focus of supporting our patient flow through the management of equipment provision. The post holder will therefore be the central point of contact for equipment ordering. The successful candidate will have responsibility for on-site stock management of the equipment stores including audits and representing the department at Community Equipment forums.


The role will include working clinically, including weekend working (with rota days off during the week).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Point of contact for equipment ordering and provision
  • Stock management and auditing of on-site equipment stores
  • Representing Therapy Department at Community Equipment forum
  • Providing clinical input on the Inpatient Wards, within the scope of Band 4 Competencies
