Job Overview

The Adult Ability Team is a unique service, providing specialist and compassionate support for patients with Progressive Neurological Conditions. This is a friendly, highly skilled and motivated multidisciplinary team, which is fully integrated into the wider Community Therapy Teams in Burton-on-Trent, East Staffordshire.

To support the development and growth of this team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Band 4 Assistant Practitioner with an interest in aligning their skills working mainly with patients who have a Physiotherapy need, to join us to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives within our community.

You will also work alongside Occupational Therapists, Nurses and support workers in this evolving team to carry out home based assessments and support the implementation of treatment plans for neurological patients in the community.

This team works seamlessly with Rapid Response, Community Rehab and Falls Teams and D2A services, and has well-established links with the Acute Sector and Primary Care.

Main duties of the job

As an Assistant Practitioner joining our team, you will bring advanced knowledge, skills and a creative approach to support the ongoing development of the team and improve patient outcomes. Working within a wider multidisciplinary team, a flexible and collaborative approach is essential, not only to meet the changing needs of our own service but also to support other therapy services across East Staffordshire as required.
