Job summary

Priory Group is opening Tudor House in Northamptonshire, seeking a Therapy Assistant to join the Allied Health Professionals and Psychology team. The role supports clients through daily group sessions, recovery-focused activities, and workshops in a calm, supportive environment.

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, salary £26,300 per year. You will assist with care planning, activity delivery, client induction, and maintaining records, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare environment, ideally in addictions services.
• Experience supporting therapy and leading group activities is preferred.

This is a new location opening in Northamptonshire – offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Tudor House will provide a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK.

Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It’s ideal for people who don’t need a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.

What you'll be doing

As an experienced therapist, support worker, therapy assistant, or administrator you will guide clients through daily group sessions, evening recovery-focused activities and psychoeducational workshops. Each element is designed to help clients develop practical coping strategies, build resilience and reduce their responses to everyday triggers.

As part of the role, you will:

• Support senior staff with care and therapy planning, including assisting with tests, exercises, examinations and therapeutic activities under appropriate supervision.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of group and one-to-one occupational, therapeutic and recreational activities, observing and reporting client responses to the relevant clinician.
• Support the reception, orientation and induction of new clients, ensuring they feel comfortable, understand the environment and are aware of emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and information systems, contribute to audits and research, and support regional management and the Therapy Lead in developing services, improving quality and meeting service objectives.
