Job summary

Priory Beacon House in Leicester is seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist to join a compassionate team delivering Flourish therapy-led addiction treatment.

You will support assessment and implementation of personalised care plans, deliver individual and group therapy, and maintain accurate records within a multidisciplinary environment. Registration with HCPC/BACP/BABCP/UKCP is essential, with a strong focus on recovery, risk management and patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within addiction and substance misuse services.
• Registered or accredited with HCPC, BACP, BABCP, or UKCP.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage risk and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals with addictions, including one-to-one and group sessions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised treatment and recovery plans.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and relapse prevention groups.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and support a recovery-focused environment.

It is home to Flourish – our pioneering therapy-led addiction programme – offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Beacon House provides a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK.

Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It’s ideal for people who don’t need a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk assessments, developing and reviewing personalised treatment and recovery plans.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and relapse prevention groups to help clients build coping strategies and maintain long-term recovery.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic, person-centred approach to treatment and care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused therapeutic environment.

What you’ll bring to the role

The successful candidate will have significant experience working within addiction and substance misuse services, with a strong understanding of recovery models, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care.

They will be confident delivering both individual and group therapy interventions and supporting clients with complex needs. Applicants should hold a relevant professional qualification and be registered or accredited with a recognised professional body such as the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), or UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to manage risk, work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and maintain a compassionate, person-centred approach to supporting individuals in recovery.
