Senior LIFE York seeks a Therapy Aide to join its team of therapeutic professionals. The Therapy Aide is an essential role within the center. The Therapy Aide is responsible for assisting the rehabilatative services staff by transporting participants to and from therapy, by performing participant care related Activities under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist/Speech- Language Pathologist, by keeping the work area clean and well supplied and by performing clerical duties.
Maintaining constant alertness for participants’ safety.
Because of the nature of Senior LIFE’s multidisciplinary approach, all candidates must be able to thrive in team environments. Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred but not required. High school graduate or equivalent is required. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is also required.
Adequate physical strength and manual dexterity is needed in order to transfer and transport participants.
