Job description

Inizio Engage is currently recruiting for a well-established client within the pharmaceutical industry. Our client is seeking a driven Therapy Area Specialist (TAS). The successful candidate will be responsible for launching and selling a new product within the CVD therapy area across various customers in the Secondary care setting, contributing to a committed team to achieve success in an enjoyable environment.

The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience and an understanding of the challenges within the NHS.

Role Responsibilities include:

  1. Successfully and effectively sell the promoted product to key clinicians and stakeholders within the patient pathway to ensure national and territory-level commercial success.
  2. Collaborate with the leadership team to identify potential speakers for promotional meetings.
  3. Develop and manage relationships with key customers within priority accounts, as agreed with the Commercial Lead.
  4. Work with Healthcare Partnership Manager (HPM) to write business plans for priority accounts.
  5. Develop a target customer list that maximizes ROI for the territory.
  6. Proactively review and update business plans monthly, providing insights to the HPM and updates on account progress.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have an 'A' Level or 'Higher' in science subjects, preferably a Life Science Degree, and should have ABPI qualification.
  • Demonstrate excellent product knowledge and understanding of the therapeutic area. Cardiology experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reports and documents.
  • Outstanding selling skills and the ability to build rapport with customers are essential.
  • Previous experience in secondary care is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn and adapt is more important.

  • Experience using various digital platforms.
  • Basic understanding of digital metrics used by the organization.
  • Awareness and integration of digital channels to meet customer needs.
