Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a dedicated children's support worker to join our family home in Widnes, caring for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will provide encouragement, patience during crises and help inspire their growth.

This role demands energy and excellent communication. A full UK driving licence is beneficial; shifts and sleep-ins are possible. We offer funded qualifications, training and a Real Living Wage.

  We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our family home, caring for children who have emotional and behaviour difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.
• This role can be physically demanding and you will need lots of energy to keep up BUT you could be the person to change a life for the better. What do you need?
• Great communication skills, fun, positive and energetic.
• Experience and qualifications in chldren's care or transferable skills such as children's nursery, sport, education or early years experience.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and be a role model
• Full UK Driving licence is benificial but not essential.
• You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
  Salary: from April 1st 2026 £13.45 per hour (£27,976.00) PLUS additional: £62.64 per sleep-in (working approx. 4-8 sleep ins per month, an additional £3,000 -£6,000 P/A), As well as competitive pay and in-house professional support we provide and fully fund the necessary training to achieve valuable externally accredited qualifications.
