Job summary

Keys is seeking a Residential Support Worker for our Children's Homes in the St-Georges-Super-Ely area. This role focuses on therapeutic care and creating a safe, loving home environment for young people, with shift work including sleep-ins.

You will be part of a family-style team led by a registered manager, providing emotional and practical support, coaching daily living skills, and encouraging hobbies and interests. Prior care experience and a driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

  • You must be eligible for registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Previous experience of working with young people and children.
  • We want people who are naturally caring, energetic and enjoy the outdoors.
  • Great communication skills, positive and fun.
  • Full UK Driving licence is required
  • Ability to remain calm and to show resilience
  • Ability to relate to our young people and share interests and encourage hobbies.
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.

Residential Support Worker Children's Homes
Location: St-Georges-Super-Ely
Salary: Starting from £27,276.60 plus £3000 - £6000 pa for sleep-ins. (£62.64 per sleep-in)
Shift patterns - Full time working long day shifts plus sleeps.

Full UK driving licence is required for this role.
