Job summary

Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapeutic Radiographer (Band 5) to join the Northern Centre for Cancer Care. The role involves rotational duties across pre-treatment and treatment sections, supporting radiotherapy delivery using VMAT, imaging, planning and treatment.

Qualifications

BSc in Radiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
State Registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer with Health Professions Council.
Evidence of post-graduate training/study.

Responsibilities

Work on a rotational basis as a member of the radiotherapy team in both the pre-treatment and treatment sections as required; working with the wider oncology team to support the delivery of radiotherapy procedures including pre treatment imaging, plan preparation and treatment.
Undertake radiotherapy practice independently and professionally in accordance with all protocols and procedures, and with care and accuracy.
Contribute to holistic patient care as part of the multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist advice and information regarding radiotherapy to patients and their carers.
