Job summary

As a senior radiographer, you’ll work within a multi-site centre, utilising cutting-edge equipment and participating in CPD activities, audits, and research with opportunities for progression and professional growth.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy.
• HCPC registered as Therapeutic Radiographer.
• Core knowledge of radiotherapy equipment and techniques.
• Understanding of computerized treatment planning systems.
• Post registration experience in pre-treatment and treatment.
• Current relevant experience with IGRT modalities.

Responsibilities

• Work as a senior member of the Radiography team across all sections including mould room, CT, virtual simulation and contouring, delivering a wide range of treatments and IGRT techniques.
• Support the team leader in day-to-day management of the assigned pre-treatment or treatment area, assisting with workload and organisation.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care.
• Organise the treatment unit's day-to-day operations to ensure efficient service and target attainment.
• Supervise, support and train junior staff and students.

Main duties of the job

Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.

Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.

Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.

Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.

Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students.
