Job summary

SEND Inclusion Support is partnering with a therapeutic school in Oakham to recruit a PE Teacher for a fixed-term maternity cover. You will plan and deliver accessible PE sessions tailored to pupils with SEMH needs.

Working closely with support staff and the wider therapeutic team, you’ll help pupils build confidence, resilience and positive relationships through sport, routines and consistent expectations.

A calm, patient approach and strong behaviour management are essential.

Qualifications

• QTS or a recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong PE teaching experience.
• Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.
• A calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Experience or understanding of SEMH.
• The ability to adapt activities for pupils with different needs.

• Planning and delivering accessible and engaging PE lessons.
