Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Technical Instructor for the horticulture department at Wathwood Hospital. You will deliver therapeutic horticulture sessions, support animal husbandry, and assist in community engagement, with weekend and bank holiday work on rotation.

The role supports patients’ reintegration into the community as part of mental health rehabilitation, overseeing garden areas, safety, and activity-based risk assessments.

Formación

• Experience delivering group and individual sessions.
• Healthcare or mental health setting experience preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays.
• DBS check required; DBS costs are deducted from salary.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver therapeutic horticulture sessions for patients.
• Oversee maintenance of polytunnels, allotment, fields and greenhouse.
• Support cafe activities and community engagement.
• Assist in risk assessments and writing patient guidelines and inductions.
• Work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays.
