Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting a Family Support Worker for a residential family assessment centre in Banstead. Salary £26,000 to £28,500 per annum, depending on experience, with a supportive, therapeutic environment.

You will provide day-to-day care for mothers and babies, support structured observations, maintain safeguarding standards, and work with a multidisciplinary team to strengthen early attachment and parental capacity.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People, or a related field.
• Basic safeguarding knowledge.
• Willingness to learn under supervision.
• Emotional resilience in a demanding environment.
• Ability to follow structured routines and guidance.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support mothers and babies in daily routines safely and empathetically.
• Promote parental responsibility and independence while maintaining boundaries.
