(Residential Child Care)

Salary: GBP33,815 pa – GBP36,360 pa (depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours: Full time position – permanent (includes some evening and weekend work and rota'd on–call duties)

We are currently recruiting a Therapeutic Deputy Home Manager for our outstanding therapeutic children's home, _Bluebells_. Opened in 2012 and rated _'Outstanding'_ by Ofsted, Bluebells offers a nurturing, trauma–informed environment for up to four children.

About Us

Amicus is a fully accredited children's therapeutic community, recognised by The Royal College of Psychiatrists. We provide integrated residential care and education for vulnerable and traumatised children aged 4 to 16 (aged 4–11 on admission), underpinned by a psychoanalytic and group relations model. Our aim is to support children in forming healthy relationships, recovering from trauma, and building brighter futures.

The Role

As Therapeutic Deputy Home Manager, you will:
Assist the Therapeutic Home Manager in the daily running of the home
Lead, inspire and support a dedicated team of childcare professionals
Ensure a high standard of therapeutic care is maintained
Model good parental care and provide on–call support as part of a rota
Support staff in their development and reflective practice
Help children build trust, manage their emotions, and improve self–esteem

What We're Looking For
Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential childcare
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
Full UK driving licence
A passion for therapeutic work and supporting children through trauma
