Job summary

TOGS Mind is seeking an experienced counsellor to join the Talking Therapies Adults Counselling Team in Oldham. You will deliver 50-minute, person-centred sessions and support clients through up to 20 weekly sessions, working within partner GP surgeries and reporting to the Counselling Project Manager.

The role requires at least 2 years post-qualification experience and a Level 4 counselling diploma, with willingness to undertake further specialist training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Must hold a Level 4 counselling diploma from a recognised institution.
• Willing to undertake specialist training relevant to service needs.
• Experience in short-term counselling and risk/safeguarding assessment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 50-minute person-centred counselling sessions.
• Manage caseload, appointments, cancellations and notes.
• Support referrals and administration for client referrals.
• Collaborate with GP surgeries and internal/external teams.
