Job summary

Priory Elm Park, part of the Priory Group, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to support residents with therapeutic and rehabilitative activities.

Based in Ardleigh near Colchester, Essex, the role focuses on promoting independence and daily living skills through tailored activities. NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to pursue is required, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Working towards NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload within set procedures and care requirements
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Creative and flexible approach to activity planning and delivery
• Ability to accurately record information and maintain documentation systems
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to contribute ideas for service improvement

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a wide range of tailored activities and structured programmes to meet individual needs and abilities
• Facilitate both individual and group activities that encourage participation, engagement, and social interaction
• Take part in wider site-based and home programmes, as agreed with your line manager
• Observe, record, and report service user participation and progress in activities
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including healthcare documentation and computerised systems
• Use a creative approach to design engaging and purposeful activity sessions
• Liaise with external educational, vocational, and leisure providers to expand opportunities for service users
• Contribute positively to service development by suggesting improvements and new ideas
• Promote the service in a professional and positive manner at all time
