Job responsibilities
  • Serve as the scientific and therapeutic executive lead for internal and external customers in early engagement, RFI and RFP response through BDM to award.
  • Lead customer meetings inclusive of early engagement opportunities, identifying customer strategic needs, therapeutic consultation and customer follow-up
  • Drive proposals and bid defenses through utilization of therapeutic expertise, knowledge of clinical development strategy and familiarity with Syneos Health capabilities. Proposes innovative operational delivery strategies and drug development solutions for customers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions to accelerate and optimize execution.
  • Accountable for final review and approval of strategy, proposal and budget by utilizing industry benchmarking, global market analysis, knowledge of appropriate labor allocation & pricing strategies
  • Liaise with other therapeutic specialists, strategy leads, medical team, and project leadership to ensure consistency of approach and development and implementation of best practices across global project leadership therapeutic segments
  • Maintain strong therapeutic knowledge in order to provide therapeutic advice and strategy to customers and internal teams as needed.
  • Participate in strategic planning activities to drive business growth and achieve defined business goals in assigned therapeutic area (TA).
  • Identify customer needs and drug development trends to contribute to development of new solutions, collaborating across the Clinical and Commercial Solutions divisions.
Qualifications

What we're looking for
  • Requires a BA/BS in the life sciences, nursing degree, or equivalent education or equivalent related experience, plus extensive clinical research experience in a contract research organization, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company
  • Prior cross-functional project management experience within the clinical trial industry is required
  • Pharma/CRO experience is required, to include positive track record of building and maintaining client relationships
  • In depth, extensive knowledge of one or more therapeutic areas
  • Knowledge of clinical development and delivery strategy
  • In depth, extensive knowledge of developing and analysis of clinical trial budget using internal budgeting tool
  • Thorough knowledge of FDA regulations, drug development, and clinical monitoring procedures is necessary
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency with ICH/GCP guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks within a dynamic projectized matrix team environment is essential - all while assuring project delivery on time and with quality
  • Requires strong presentation, documentation and interpersonal skills as well as a team-oriented approach
