About the role

In this role, you will manage the production and quality assurance of all theory examination papers, working closely with the MRCPsych Examination Panels, Head of Examinations, and Psychometrician. This role involves overseeing the entire examination process, from development to delivery, ensuring excellence at all stages.The successful candidate will have experience in quality assurance and an excellent eye for detail, with a proven track record of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to achieve strategic aims.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the production and quality assurance of all theory examination papers.
  • Manage and support the MRCPsych Theory Paper Panels, ensuring sustained engagement of volunteering Members.
  • Work with the Examinations Committee to obtain approval for the final version of each theory paper, liaising with the Chief Examiner, Chair of relevant Theory Paper Panel and Head of Examinations.
  • Work with the College’s examination delivery provider to ensure the delivery of theory examinations meets regulatory and operational requirements to defined deadlines.
  • Oversee the incident management, recording, and reporting processes after each examination diet.
  • Work collaboratively with the Psychometrician and Head of Examinations to ensure excellence in all aspects of theory examination delivery.
  • Line manage the Examinations Coordinator and Examinations Assistants, including appraisals. Support the management and engagement of the wider team as directed by the Head of Examinations.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the Examinations Team to ensure high standards of service are consistently met.
  • Support the delivery by the CASC by undertaking various roles as directed by the Head of Examinations e.g. senior invigilation, circuit lead, registration, extra reading time.

Required Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level/equivalent qualification
