Job description

Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group, covering asset allocation and all major industry sectors. It analyzes relevant trends in financial markets, the economy, and society, highlighting risks and opportunities, and acts as a consultant for the bank, its clients, and stakeholders. The research team delivers high-quality, independent analysis and promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labor market, and social policy issues.

The successful candidate will join the Thematic and Corporate Bank Research team, providing insights to asset managers and corporate clients on thematic trends affecting the business world. This involves micro and macro analysis, authoring, and producing written research to promote investment views and marketing those views to internal and external clients.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide clients with insights into financial markets and thematic trends through modeling, reports, and meetings
  • Assess the impact of business and financial themes using publicly available information sources, including modeling and report writing
  • Research and prepare briefing papers for senior management
  • Contribute to cross-asset and cross-topic team publications

Skills and experience required

  • Background in corporate, equity, or macro analysis within a corporate environment
  • Strong written communication skills; journalism experience is a plus
  • Proven track record in producing research or analysis that offers market insights or investment recommendations
  • Willingness to research unfamiliar topics
  • Ability to generate and develop ideas into commercial research
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for marketing ideas to clients and stakeholders
