Job Description:

Position: Theatre Stores and Equipment Coordinator | Spire Dunedin, Reading | Permanent | Part-time | 22.5 hours/week

Spire Dunedin Hospital, Reading, offers an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Stores and Equipment Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accept and record delivery of loan equipment, obtain signatures where possible.
  • Track equipment sent to SSD and ensure timely return.
  • Maintain prosthesis consignments, liaise with stores and representatives regarding sale or return items, and alert team leaders of back-orders.
  • Order supplies following Spire SOPs, record in SAP, and label as needed.
  • Coordinate with team leaders and vendors for surgical kits and prostheses, record usage and wastage.
  • Check stock for completeness, monitor expiry dates, and inform clinical teams of near-expiry items.
  • Work with theatre admin to schedule upcoming surgical needs.
  • Support ordering of graft products.
  • Maintain tidy storage environment, remove expired stock, and reprocess for use.
  • Keep a tracker of kits on-site and assist with stock takes.
  • Perform other departmental tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Hospital or similar experience; knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, able to prioritize, accurate, with good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience in planning and working independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working Hours:

Monday - Friday
