Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in Wycombe is seeking a Theatres Sterile Services/Stores Operative to support theatres across specialties, ensuring sterile instruments and consumables are available for the day before surgery.

You will join a dedicated team, receive on-the-job training, and help deliver patient care while adhering to Trust policies. The role offers career development and NHS benefits including annual leave and pension.

Responsibilities

Ensuring all instruments and consumables are available to theatres the day before surgery, and to elevate any shortfall to a senior person, in a timely manner.
Assist in the delivery of patient care
Contribute to quality improvement
Adhere to all Trust Policies and Procedure
To ensure all instruments and consumables are available for use to Theatres the day before surgery, and to elevate any shortfall to a senior person, in a timely manner.
To ensure Surgeons’ preference cards are up to date, working in conjunction with Theatre staff.
To ensure the prompt return to CSSD of all instruments, liaison with CSSD to ensure priority is given to urgent requirements.
