Practice Plus Group is seeking a Scrub Practitioner to join a dynamic perioperative team in the UK. The role involves scrub and circulating duties, maintaining theatre hygiene, and participating in safety protocols.

The post is full-time, 37.5 hours across a 4-day pattern from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Applicants must be registered nurses or operating department practitioners with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to undertake on‑calls to meet service needs.
• Contribution to team development and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of NMC/HCPC guidelines and perioperative issues.
• Strong organisational and problem solving abilities.
• IT skills to support service needs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of scrub and circulating roles and responsibilities.
• Be competent in scrub/circulating techniques and procedures.
• Clean and disinfect theatre and equipment between patients and after cases.
• Participate in safety procedures including WHO safer surgery checklist and counts.
• Assess care provided to patients in operating theatre and related areas.
• Run theatre lists efficiently following policies and procedures.
